    VAT Manager (Hybrid) - Nicosia

    For our client, a Top 10 Global Audit Firm, we are currently seeking a VAT Manager to join their growing Taxation Services department.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide VAT advisory services to clients, including guidance on transactions, restructurings, international VAT, and cross-border supply chains.
    • Advise on VAT implications of business models, contracts, and corporate structures.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on VAT compliance and advisory matters, including complex technical queries, and assist clients on VAT risk management and mitigation strategies
    • Oversee and review VAT returns and related filings where necessary, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission to VAT authorities.
    • Manage communications with VAT authorities on compliance matters, VAT rulings / opinions, audits, and disputes, ensuring effective resolution.
    • Conduct and supervise VAT reviews of financial statements, working closely with internal teams.
    • Provide technical support and guidance on VAT issues through internal channels, design and deliver internal VAT training sessions to enhance awareness and technical skills across departments.
    • Monitor, interpret and assess legislative changes in VAT and communicating updates across the firm.
    • Contribute to business development initiatives, including client pitches, seminars, and networking opportunities.
    • Produce and share technical knowledge through articles, newsletters, and presentations, supporting thought leadership.
    • Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality outputs.

     

    Requirements:

    • Degree Graduate in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Law, Economics, or related field.
    • ACCA/ACA/CPA member
    • Minimum of 5+ years of indirect Tax/VAT experience.
    • Strong experience managing communications with Tax/VAT authorities.
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Greek.
    • Strong business awareness and high ethical standards.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical judgment skills.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor others.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and professional skills.
    • Team-oriented with a strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs

    Salary: 

    €35,000 - 45,000 depending on experience
