    Site Civil Engineer / Project Coordinator - Nicosia

    For our client, a leading interior solutions specialist with an established presence in Cyprus, we are looking for a Site Civil Engineer / Project Coordinator to oversee and coordinate construction projects, ensuring that works are completed safely, efficiently, on time and in accordance with the required quality standards.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise, coordinate and organise construction projects and site activities.

    • Coordinate and manage company crews, subcontractors and external partners on site.

    • Maintain accurate site diaries and project records.

    • Monitor project budgets, costs and timelines, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.

    • Identify, investigate and resolve technical and construction-related issues.

    • Prepare construction and technical drawings using AutoCAD.

    • Prepare material orders and monitor material requirements on site.

    • Monitor and control the use of materials and ensure that returns are completed in accordance with company procedures.

    • Carry out measurements and costing of completed works, variations and additional works.

    • Prepare project cost estimates and relevant reports as required.

    • Prepare interim and final payment certificates/orders and quotations.

    • Maintain professional correspondence with main contractors regarding project instructions, health and safety matters, delays and other contractual or technical issues.

    • Monitor project correspondence, prepare letters and emails, and ensure that senior management is promptly informed of any contractual matters.

    • Train, guide and supervise foremen and technical personnel.

    • Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders to provide information and resolve issues.

    • Attend technical and project coordination meetings.

    • Maintain a good working knowledge of passive fire protection systems, materials and construction techniques.

    • Ensure compliance with company Quality Management and Health & Safety procedures.

    • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies by site personnel.

    • Report any situation that may compromise the health and safety of employees, contractors or other persons.

    • Ensure appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and implementation of required risk-control measures.

    • Identify and report non-conformities and support corrective actions where required.

    • Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic working environment.

    • Carry out any other duties reasonably associated with the position and the normal practice of the profession.

     

    Requirements:

    Essential Qualifications & Experience

    • Recognised Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

    • Previous experience in project management and construction site coordination.

    • Experience with building construction projects.

    • Very good knowledge of AutoCAD and general computer applications.

    • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.

    • Valid driving licence.

    • Training/knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety.

    Desirable Qualifications

    • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management.

    • Registration with ETEK.

    • Previous experience in a similar position, particularly within a company specialising in drywall construction and external thermal insulation systems.

    • Knowledge and experience in passive fire protection would be considered an advantage.

    Salary:

    • €23,400 – €32,000 gross per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
