For our client, a leading Energy company based in Limassol, we are looking to find a Senior Electrical Engineer.
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical design across our projects, from low voltage through to medium voltage (up to 22kV). You will work across the full project lifecycle: design, grid connection, EPC delivery, and commissioning support.
Responsibilities
- Develop single line diagrams, cable schedules, and electrical layouts
- Size cables, transformers, switchgear, and protection equipment
- Carry out load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies
- Design earthing, bonding, and lightning protection systems
- Prepare grid connection studies and applications to the DSO/TSO, through to the connection agreement
- Ensure compliance with the Cyprus Grid Code, Distribution Code, and relevant IEC standards
- Specify equipment and prepare technical documentation, BOQ/BOM, and datasheet reviews
- Support procurement, contractor coordination, site supervision, and commissioning
- Produce electrical designs for, primarily, PV and BESS projects at LV and MV (up to 11kV/22kV)
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- ETEK registration in the relevant electrical discipline (or eligibility to register)
- Proven experience in LV and MV electrical design, ideally in renewables or power distribution
- Strong working knowledge of IEC 60364, IEC 61936, and IEC 60909
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent electrical CAD
- Solid command of cable sizing, protection coordination, and earthing design
- Fluency in English
- Experience with a power system analysis package (ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or EasyPower)
Desirable
- Direct experience coordinating grid connections with the DSO
- EPC project delivery and commissioning experience
- BESS electrical integration experience
- Experience with PV design tools and energy yield modelling
Salary:
€35,000 - 40,000 annual gross
