Senior Corporate Accountant - Nicosia

Our client, a corporate services provider, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its International Corporate Services (ICS) team. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of international clients, including companies, investment-holding structures, and trusts.

The role combines accounting and financial reporting with client relationship management and the ongoing administration of international corporate and trust structures. It requires regular coordination with banks, custodians, auditors, lawyers, investment managers, trustees, and other professional advisers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of international clients, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of accounting and financial reporting services.
• Prepare and review accounting records, management accounts, and financial statements.
• Maintain accounting records for entities holding investment portfolios, including equities, bonds, funds, and other financial instruments.
• Review investment statements, bank records, and supporting documentation to ensure accounting records are complete and accurate.
• Liaise directly with clients on accounting, reporting, and operational matters.
• Coordinate with banks, custodians, brokers, investment managers, trustees, auditors, lawyers, and other professional advisers.
• Review corporate and trust documentation to ensure alignment with the relevant transactions, structures, and accounting records.
• Prepare corporate documentation, including board and shareholder resolutions, minutes, and other corporate records.
• Support the ongoing administration of trusts and international corporate structures.
• Maintain statutory and corporate records in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance where required.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal procedures, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or in the advanced stages of qualification.
• Four to six years of relevant experience, preferably within a professional services, fiduciary, corporate services, or accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Experience managing international clients and cross-border structures.
• Experience with investment-holding companies, financial instruments, or trust structures would be an advantage.
• Exposure to corporate administration and the preparation of corporate documentation would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
