Our client, a Top 10 legal firm in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, processing financial transactions, assisting with VAT and VIES compliance, payroll, reconciliations, and supporting the firm's auditing activities.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate books and records of the Company.
- Posting and processing journal entries, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Recording and issuing invoices and receipts.
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
- Preparing debtor and creditor reconciliations and liaising with relevant parties to resolve discrepancies.
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT and VIES reports.
- Preparing monthly payroll calculations and processing relevant statutory payments.
- Communicating with local authorities when required.
- Assisting with audit activities by providing necessary information and requested documentation.
- Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- No professional qualification (ACA/ACCA) is required.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of E-Soft, Sage and Profitmaker will be considered an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Greek. Knowledge of any additional language will be considered an advantage.
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn, acquire new skills and develop professionally.

Salary
€28,000 - €32,000 annual gross, depending on experience and qualifications.
