Senior Accountant - Limassol

For our client, a leading private firm specializing in custom interior contracts and tailored services, we seek a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure IFRS compliance, manage credit control via SAP ERP, and support project financials.

Responsibilities

Accounting Supervision & Control:

• Manage and supervise full-cycle accounting in SAP

• Oversee accounting department operations for accuracy and timeliness

• Handle accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end, and year-end closings

• Verify expense/revenue allocations to projects and maintain Work in Progress (WIP) files

Accounts Receivable & Credit Control:

• Monitor customer receivables and prepare debtor aging reports

• Issue invoices/receipts and pursue overdue collections through customer communication

Internal Audit, Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and contribute to procedure documentation

• Act as liaison between Head of Finance, accounting team, and departments (Technical, QS, Procurement)

• Provide regular updates on receivables, financial risks, and status

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• LCCI Higher qualification

• Very good command of English (written and spoken)

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially advanced Excel

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS

• Proven experience in a construction company

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)

• Experience in Credit Control and Collections
