For our client, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in accounting, taxation, compliance and financial reporting while working with a diverse portfolio of clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining and updating accounting records and bookkeeping entries for a portfolio of clients.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
- Performing VAT, tax compliance and regulatory filing work.
- Reconciling bank accounts and ledger balances.
- Communicating with clients regarding accounting and compliance matters.
- Liaising with government authorities including Tax, VAT and Social Insurance Departments.
- Supporting senior accountants on various client assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Partly qualified ACA or ACCA candidates will be considered an advantage.
SKILLS:
- Excellent command of English; additional languages such as Greek or Russian will be considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as Cycom, Esoft, SAP, CaseWare or Navision will be considered an advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
- One to two years of experience in a professional accounting firm is preferred.
- Strong graduates with excellent academic records may also be considered.

SALARY:
- €19,000 – €23,000 annual gross, depending on qualifications and experience.
