For our client, a growing Group operating across the real estate and construction sectors, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join the Finance team.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations

Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.

Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts and journal entries.

Maintain accurate and organised accounting records and supporting documentation.
-
Ensure accounting data is entered accurately and on a timely basis.

Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
-
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
-
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances when required.

Assist with expense and payment reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Reconciliations & Financial Reporting
-
Perform bank and account reconciliations.
-
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.

Support the preparation of accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.

Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures.

Identify and investigate discrepancies in financial records and assist with resolving them.
Audit, Tax & Compliance

Support internal and external audit requests by providing the required documentation.

Assist with tax and statutory reporting activities as required.
-
Ensure accounting activities are carried out accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Finance Support & Process Improvement

Assist senior members of the Finance team with financial analysis and ad hoc projects.

Contribute to improving accounting processes and procedures.

Support the Finance team with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Good organisational and time-management skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Salary:

€20,000–€27,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience, qualifications and technical knowledge
