For our client, a well established Energy company, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team in Limassol.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations — ensure all financial entries, reconciliations, and journals are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end closings for Group companies, ensuring timely and accurate management reporting.
- Prepare insightful financial analyses and reports, including profit margins, project costing, revenue segmentation, and performance KPIs.
- Drive financial planning and control, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the Group.
- Monitor and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts to support strategic and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and reporting requirements while maintaining robust internal controls.
- Manage cash flow and banking relationships, optimizing liquidity, working capital, and treasury operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior management to provide financial insights that support business planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable University, in related disciplines such as Accounting, Finance
- Holder of ACCA or ACA qualification
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial control. Past experience as a financial controller will be considered as an advantage
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a deadline-oriented environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Easysoft or similar)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and people skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent command of written and spoken Greek and English
- Exceptional attitude, self-starter, team player and process-oriented
- Ability to handle internal and sensitive information with the strictest confidentiality
- Proficient in MS office, especially in Excel
