For our client, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to be responsible for leading and managing the accounting and bookkeeping department of the firm while overseeing a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. The role combines technical accounting expertise, client relationship management, team leadership, and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and advisory services. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of professional service, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements, developing team members, and contributing to the strategic growth of the Accounting Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of local and international clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for accounting, reporting and compliance matters.
- Review bookkeeping records, reconciliations and management accounts.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements under IFRS.
- Supervise VAT, tax, VIES, OSS and statutory compliance obligations.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulators.
- Lead, mentor and evaluate accounting staff.
- Monitor departmental workloads, budgets and deadlines.
- Implement process improvements and internal controls.
- Provide advisory services including budgeting, cash flow and financial analysis.
- Support business development initiatives and client proposals.
- Ensure quality control and risk management procedures are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Qualified ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience managing client portfolios and accounting teams.
SKILLS:
- Strong leadership, communication and client management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
- Experience with Cycom, Esoft, SAP, Navision, CaseWare or similar systems.
- Knowledge of government portals and electronic filing systems.

SALARY:
- €40,000 – €55,000 annual gross, depending on qualifications and experience.
