For a leading Cypriot Audit & Accounting firm, we are looking for an experienced and driven Accounting Assistant Manager. Your role as an Accounting Assistant Manager will involve supporting a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure the successful completion of accounting engagements and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of financial and operational plans
- Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting
- Supervise and review junior team members, providing guidance and feedback
- Prepare and review VAT returns, VIES forms, and other statutory submissions
- Assist in preparing and analysing management reports, budgets, and financial statements
- Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on routine matters
- Provide clients with support on accounting, VAT, and compliance issues
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication
- Support project monitoring, invoicing, and follow-up on receivables
- Contribute to financial reporting and insights for senior management
- Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Over 4 years of audit experience, including at least 1 year post-qualification
- Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills; able to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English; knowledge of Russian or another language is an advantage
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving and critical thinking
- IT literate with the ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- High integrity and a positive, can-do attitude.
